One dead after multi-vehicle crash in Pomona

A morning traffic collision in Pomona resulted in the death of one person Sunday, May 27.

About 9:07 a.m. the Pomona Police Department received a call of an injury traffic collision in the area of Towne Avenue and Kingsley Street, the department said in a news release.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a multi-vehicle collision with minor reported injuries, the release said.

Injured parties were treated by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and two of the injured were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

One of those people later died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash, police said.

Further information, including the number of vehicles involved or information about the victim and the time of death, were not immediately available.
