Galvan fled the scene on foot, the Sheriff’s Department said. His vehicle was recovered by deputies at the scene. Investigators have obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Galvan’s last known address is in the Whittier area, and it is believed he may have been helped back to that area from the High Desert, deputies said in a news release.
Evidence from the scene confirmed Galvan sustained injuries to his face and upper body, which will likely require medical attention, deputies said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident or the location of Jorge Galvan was asked to contact the Hesperia station at 760-947-1500.
