POMONA — A Sunday evening crash involving at least two vehicles left one on fire and another overturned in Pomona, temporarily shutting down several lanes of the Pomona (60) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened about 6:50 p.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Phillips Ranch Road, the CHP reported.
The vehicle that caught fire sent flames spreading into the brush alongside the freeway, the CHP said. Los Angeles County firefighters were called to the scene and quickly extinguished the car and brushfire.
No injuries were reported.

The crash blocked the number 4 and 5 lanes. A SigAlert was issued by the CHP at 7:10 p.m. The freeway was cleared and the SigAlert canceled at 8:03 p.m.
The crash remained under investigation by the CHP.
