JURUPA VALLEY >> A hit and run vehicle crashed into three pedestrians shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, killing two and injuring one, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The pedestrians were hit in the 1800 block of Market Street near Via Cerro, the CalFire/Riverside County Fire Department said in separate statement.
An adult male and female were pronounced dead at the scene, said sheriff’s Deputy Michael Vasquez.
A juvenile was taken to an area hospital, information on his condition was not immediately available, he said.
The relationship of the pedestrians involved in the incident was not immediately known, Vasquez said.
Sheriff’s officials are seeking the public’s help to identify the hit-and-run vehicle.
“We don’t have a vehicle description,” Vasquez said.
Anyone with information can call 951-776-1099, he said.
Ambulance company American Medical Response and the California Highway Patrol also responded to the accident, a CalFire/Riverside County statement said.
