A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run Saturday night in San Bernardino, and police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver responsible.
The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was walking across E Street north of 29th Street about 10 p.m., San Bernardino police said in a news release. That’s in a residential area immediately south of the 210 Freeway and near a Lutheran church.
A vehicle described as a mid-1980s Toyota Camry, possibly black, was driving south on E Street and hit the pedestrian. It kept going south on E Street, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with major head trauma and died, police said.
The San Bernardino Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is asking anyone with information about the crash to call them at 909-384-5664 or 909-384-4912.
