ONTARIO >> Authorities have identified the man killed Monday in a rollover crash involving a tractor trailer along the 60 Freeway in Ontario as Victor Abad, 63, of Highland.
Abad was the front passenger in a gray SUV that was traveling east on the 60 Freeway west of Archibald Avenue in Ontario on Monday afternoon when a tractor trailer, heading in the same direction, struck the SUV, according to the San Bernardino County coroner’s website. The crash caused the SUV to roll onto its roof and backed up traffic for at least a mile, officials said.
Paramedics drove Abad to Kaiser Permanente’s Ontario Medical Center, where he died at 12:41 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
