Long Beach man identified as victim of Ontario Metrolink train crash

ONTARIO >> The man killed by a Metrolink train earlier this week in Ontario has been identified as Federico Duran, 40, of Long Beach, San Bernardino County coroner’s officials said.

Ontario police said Duran stepped onto the tracks as the train approached, and it appears to have been a suicide.

The incident took place Monday afternoon on Riverside Line 402 to downtown Riverside at South Archibald Avenue and Mission Boulevard between the East Ontario and Pedley stations, according to the transportation agency.
