Pasadena in the Movies bus tour shows off the city’s film close-ups

Last Updated on July 26, 2017 by CCAR Staff

Spend much time at the movies? Ever noticed buildings around Pasadena that tugged scenes from “Batman” or Steve Martin’s “Father of the Bride” in your memory? Well, now you’ll know for sure on the Pasadena in the Movies bus tour.

Among locations to be included are not only the Castle Green (“The Last Samurai,” 1994’s “Little Rascals,” and Warren Beatty’s “Bugsy”) but also the Colorado Street Bridge (seen in “Citizen Kane,” episodes of “Emergency” and of course, last year’s multi-Oscar winning “La La Land”). “Gone With the Wind” had moments filmed in the gardens of the winter home of the Busch family. And how ironic that the Blacker House was used for Christopher Lloyd’s Doc Brown in “Back to the Future.”
