Pedestrian killed in Moreno Valley collision is identified as Fontana man

The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday in Moreno Valley was identified Wednesday, July 19, as an 83-year-old Fontana man.

Jose Lopez Delgado was struck at 6:36 a.m. and died at 7:20 a.m., the Riverside County Coroner’s Office said.

Lopez Delgado was in a crosswalk at the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Arbor Park Lane when he was hit, said the Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating the cause of the collision.
