Six people were hospitalized after a crash involving two pick-up trucks on the 10 Freeway in Palm Desert on Monday, May 29, officials said.
One person who had serious injuries was flown by helicopter and five with moderate to minor injuries were transported by Riverside County paramedics and a private ambulance, a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release stated.
The collision occurred at 11:45 a.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway east of Washington Street, the release said.
