MONTCLAIR >> A crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Montclair prompted the closure of multiple lanes and snarled traffic Wednesday, but the last lane reopened about 2:30 p.m. in time for the homeward commute, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.
One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.
Traffic remained slow from the 57 Freeway after 3 p.m., but the back up, which extended more than five miles at one point, had lessened, according to a Caltrans traffic map.
The crash was reported at the Monte Vista Avenue offramp about 11:20 a.m. and involved a diesel truck and an SUV, according to the CHP log. Witnesses reported the SUV had rolled over and was on its roof.
Not long after the crash, the No. 3 and 4 lanes and the off-ramp were closed and a SigAlert was issued. Caltrans was summoned to deal with a fuel spill.
About 12:35 p.m., the log said, the No. 3 lane was reopened but the right lane and off-ramp remained closed
Details about how the crash happened were not immediately available from the CHP.
