POMONA >> A man in his 40s was killed Thursday night in Pomona when he was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.
The collision was reported at 8:10 p.m. on Garey Avenue between Artesia Boulevard and the 10 Freeway, Pomona police Lt. Marcus Perez said.
The vehicle was described as possibly being a crossover or hatchback type vehicle, dark in color, Perez said.
The victim was believed to be a Pomona transient, Perez said.
