POMONA >> The driver of a vehicle lost control crashing into a utility pole and guard rail near a Pomona intersection and suffering serious injuries, authorities said Monday.
It happened at 7:11 p.m. Sunday at the San Antonio Creek wash overpass on Phillips Boulevard west of East End Avenue, according to Pomona police.
The driver was hospitalized in serious condition, police said.
Phillips Boulevard was closed near the intersection so Edison crews could replace the damaged pole, police said.
