CHINO >> Chino police said Monday they are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of Rancho Cucamonga man.
Andrew Beltran, 22, was airlifted to an area hospital following Thursday’s evening’s crash, but he died later that night of his injuries, said Tamrin Olden, Chino police spokeswoman.
The crash occurred about 5:09 a.m. Thursday in the 14300 block of Ramona Avenue.
George Amed Rivera, 33, of Hacienda Heights was driving an Isuzu box truck north on Ramona when he turned left across the southbound lanes of Ramona Avenue to enter the parking lot of a parking lot of a warehouse, Olden said.
Beltran was headed south on Ramona in a Honda Prelude when the crash occurred.
Rivera and an adult passenger in the truck where treated and released at the scene.
Olden said the crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time. The case is expected to be reviewed by members of the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, she said.
