SAN BERNARDINO >> The motorcyclist killed in a crash with a tractor trailer in San Bernardino has been identified as Jesse Hibbler, 49, of Colton, according to the San Bernardino County coroner’s website.
Hibbler was killed Sunday when he slammed his motorcycle into the back of a tractor-trailer along a San Bernardino highway, California Highway Patrol officials said.
He was riding a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Highway 259, approaching Base Line Street, when CHP officials said he lost control of the motorcycle and struck the rear of the tractor-trailer.
“The force of the collision caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle,” according to a CHP news release.
Paramedics took Hibbler to St. Bernardine’s Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the tractor trailer did not stop at the scene. Investigators are conducting follow-up to find the driver of the tractor trailer.
