Crash on 57 Freeway in Pomona leaves 4 injured, causes closures

POMONA >> Four people were airlifted to a hospital Saturday from a multiple-vehicle collision on the 57 Freeway in Pomona, authorities said.

It was reported at 1:38 p.m. on the southbound 57 Freeway south of the 10 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The four victims suffered traumatic injuries, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo said.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 2:14 p.m. closing lanes 2 and 3 of the southbound 57 Freeway north of the 10 Freeway for its investigation and cleanup. The lanes were reopened at 4:10 p.m.
