Motorcyclist killed in collision with SUV in Pomona

POMONA >> A man was killed Saturday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a Nissan Pathfinder, police stated.

The vicinity of the collision at South Towne Avenue and East Phillips Boulevard remained closed 5 p.m. Saturday so police could continue investigating its cause, according to a Pomona police dispatcher.

The collision between the SUV and motorcycle happened about 1:30 p.m., a Pomona police news release states. The motorcyclist was brought to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

The Nissan’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, the news release states.

Police ask anyone with information about the collision to call 909-620-2081.
