RANCHO CUCAMONGA >> Deputies Tuesday morning arrested a man who crashed his vehicle into a light pole while fighting with a woman in the car, according to a San Bernardino County sheriff’s news release.

The woman reportedly told deputies the man had threatened to “crash the vehicle into a wash and kill everyone.”

The verbal and physical fight reportedly began in Colton and continued as the man, Raul Mancillas, 25, of Bloomington, drove from there to Rancho Cucamonga with the woman and their three children in the vehicle. No one was reported injured in the crash.

Mancillas crashed about 6 a.m. Tuesday near Colonial Drive and Emmett Way. After the crash, the woman left the scene with two of the children and Mancillas left with the third child, a one-year-old.

Deputies searched nearby neighborhoods and found the man and the child about 8:45 a.m. in a condominium complex half a mile from the crash site. They returned the unharmed child to the woman and arrested Mancillas on suspicion of felony domestic violence and criminal threats, the news release states.

Mancillas was booked into West Valley Detention Center, where his bail was set at $250,000.
