Beer truck accident in Rancho Cucamonga has the suds flowing

Last Updated on January 5, 2023 by CCAR Staff

RANCHO CUCAMONGA >> A tractor-trailer lost most of its beer load Tuesday morning after the trailer struck something along its route, sheriff’s officials said.

Just before 10:30 a.m., “The tractor-trailer was on Arrow (Route) near Archibald (Avenue) when the trailer portion struck an overhang or branch,” said Deputy Jay Bailey with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rancho Cucamonga station. The large truck continued east to Haven Avenue where it was stopped by a deputy who noticed the damage.

While it was stopped, said Bailey, the entire side of the trailer broke open, spilling beer all over the sidewalk. It was unclear what kind of beer was lost in the incident.

The roadway was closed for some time as crews worked to clean up the spilled suds.

No one was injured in the incident, Bailey said.
