4 arrested during Rialto DUI checkpoint

RIALTO >> Four people were arrested for driving under the influence out of 1,031 screened at a Friday night DUI/driver license checkpoint, according to a Rialto police news release.

The checkpoint was held at 1243 S Riverside Ave. to screen northbound traffic on Riverside Avenue north of San Bernardino Avenue, the news release states. A total of 1,594 vehicles entered the checkpoint over an unspecified length of time.

The California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, provided a grant to conduct the checkpoint.
