CLAREMONT >> Police plan two sobriety checkpoints at undisclosed locations in the city Thursday and June 10, they announced Monday.

The checkpoints will start at 7 p.m. and end at 1 a.m. the next morning, according to a news release.

Police say they will stop drivers long enough to ensure they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and will make sure drivers are wearing seat belts and have a valid drivers license.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
