Rancho Cucamonga man identified as victim in fatal Upland crash

UPLAND >> The man killed in a crash in Upland Tuesday afternoon has been identified as 28-year-old Luis Hiram Cruz Hernandez of Rancho Cucamonga, according to the coroner’s report.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., Hernandez was driving in the 2600 block of North Mountain Avenue when he apparently lost control and crashed through a fence before rolling the car over and hitting a tree, California Highway Patrol officials said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
