POMONA >> The small plane that made an emergency landing on the roof of a Pomona building Sunday remains on that rooftop Monday morning waiting for authorities to arrive and begin their investigation.

The 61-year-old Fullerton pilot was flown to a hospital for his injuries.

The single-engine Piper PA-28 creashed on the roof of a state parole building run by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in the 900 block of Corporate Center Drive, southwest of the junction of the 10, 57 and 71 freeways, around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol officials.

ABC 7 was among the news outlets that captured the crash scene from their helicopters.

The plane was headed to Brackett Field Airport in La Verne, according to FAA officials.

FAA records show the plane is registered to Donald Bach.
