Man injured in Montclair bus crash

MONTCLAIR >> A man was injured Thursday afternoon in a bus-versus-car crash near Monte Vista Avenue in Montclair.

The driver of a blue Chevy Charger collided with an Omnitrans bus carrying four passengers at about 1:30 p.m., officials said.

He was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition, said police Sgt. Jim Michel.

No other injuries were reported. The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear.

The northbound lanes of Monte Vista Avenue between Moreno Street and Arrow Highway were shut down as of 2:30 p.m.
